Job Description :
We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to lead impact-driven project that addresses air pollution caused by waste mismanagement in Delhi and Lucknow. The Project Coordinator – Clean Air and Waste Management will oversee the design and implementation of inclusive educational programs, digital campaigns, and community-led advocacy efforts focused on clean air practices and safe waste handling. The role demands a combination of strong project execution, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership to deliver scalable solutions that center women, waste workers, and urban youth in driving environmental change.
Job Responsibilities:
Project Management & Coordination
Lead and manage all aspects of project planning, implementation, and delivery across Delhi and Lucknow.
Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, work plans, and progress tracking tools.
Coordinate with partner, schools, RWAs, municipal authorities, and other stakeholders.
Ensure timely implementation of activities including workshops, digital campaigns, and events.
Team & Stakeholder Engagement
Supervise field staff, trainers, content developers, and volunteers involved in the project.
Organize orientation and planning sessions for community champions and partners.
Liaise with the project partners for visibility, engagement, and reporting protocols.
Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting
Track outputs, outcomes, and milestones against the log frame.
Lead the development of high-quality progress reports (narrative and quantitative).
Collect and compile field data, testimonials, photographs, and beneficiary information.
Content Oversight & Outreach
Oversee the development and dissemination of the bilingual manual and IEC materials.
Collaborate with the communications team for regular social media content creation and outreach.
Support press release drafting, blog writing, and digital campaign coordination.
Event & Workshop Execution
Plan and execute interactive workshops, peer-learning dialogues, and community sessions.
Ensure logistical preparedness for events, including visibility materials, participant outreach, and media coordination.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in environmental studies, Social Work, Development Studies, Public Health, or a related field.
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in managing community-based or urban environmental projects.
Proven experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder programs, preferably in urban or informal settings.
Strong understanding of waste management, air pollution, or environmental health issues.
Experience with donor-funded projects and narrative reporting.
Fluency in English and Hindi (spoken and written) is essential.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities to manage teams and partners.
Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
Ability to travel frequently between Delhi and Lucknow.
Knowledge of IEC content design and digital advocacy strategies is a plus.
