Job Description:
As an intern in the Soil Matters project, you will gain a comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience in sustainable agroecological soil protection and rehabilitation approaches. Your role will involve supporting the Soil Matters project through various tasks related to operational implementation, coordination, knowledge exchange management, and communication.
Job Responsibilities:
Support Regional Conferences:
Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing regional conferences on soil health and sustainable agriculture.
Collaborate with the project team to handle logistics, participant invitations, and event operations.
Contribute to creating promotional materials, presentations, and event documentation.
Contribute to World Soil Day Campaign:
Assist in developing awareness campaigns for World Soil Day, including social media content, articles, and educational materials.
Help organize events, workshops, or webinars to raise awareness about soil conservation.
Case Study Compilation - Farmer Stories:
Collect and compile case studies and success stories from farmers who have implemented soil health-enhancing practices.
Conduct interviews, gather information, and craft compelling narratives showcasing the impact of sustainable agricultural techniques.
Research and Documentation:
Conduct research on innovative soil health practices, sustainable agriculture methods, and relevant policy developments.
Contribute to creating project reports, presentations, and documentation as needed.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, communications specialists, and field staff.
Participate in team meetings, share insights, and contribute to strategic discussions.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience:
Applicants fulfilling the following criteria should apply:
At least current enrolment in a relevant master's degree program in agriculture, environmental science, Journalism, Communications, or a related field related to the work mentioned.
Candidate who have completed their degree not more than 6 months ago shall apply.
Strong interest in sustainable agriculture, soil health, and environmental conservation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Basic understanding of data management and analysis.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and adaptable.
The duration of the assignment is six months starting on 1st September 2025,
This internship presents a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and gain valuable insights into sustainable agricultural practices and soil health enhancement in India. The internship will be for six months from September/October and require the candidate to be present during the office hours in New Delhi
