Dakshin Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation based at Bangalore, India, with a mission to inform and advocate conservation and natural resource management, while promoting and supporting sustainable livelihoods, social development and environmental justice.

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

The HR Officer will demonstrate a strong understanding of HR processes, employee relations, and compliance. This role will play a key part in implementing HR policies, managing employee lifecycle activities, and contributing to a positive workplace culture.

The role will include:

 Recruitment & Onboarding

• Coordinate and support end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interviews, and offers.

• Facilitate onboarding and induction programs for new hires.

• Maintain candidate databases

HR Operations & Compliance

• Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.

• Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and documentation.

• Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Support the performance appraisal process and ensure timely completion of evaluations.

• Assist in resolving employee issues in line with company policies and labor laws.

• f. Act as a point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and HR-related matters.

Compensation & Benefits

• Support payroll preparation by providing relevant employee information.

• Administer employee benefits and leave management.

Education Qualification/Required Skills &Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of HR experience in relevant fields related to the responsibilities mentioned above.

• Strong knowledge of labour legislation, PF, ESI, HR best practices, and HRMS systems.

• Excellent communications skills (both written and oral) in English.

• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism

• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and collaborative mindset.
