Job Purpose

The Communications Associate will be responsible for managing communications for various programmes of Wetlands International South Asia. 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Develop communication materials and knowledge products in collaboration with the technical teams to translate complex information into clear visual communication.

  • Maintain social media presence, familiarity with X (previously Twitter), LinkedIn and Instagram

  • Assist in knowledge management and documentation, including preparation of meetings, meeting notes, events and their reports, consolidation of reports, among others

  • Develop informational and promotional written, visual, and digital communications materials

  • Provide support in the planning and coordination of meetings, workshops, and events, especially logistical arrangements.

  • Any other relevant tasks assigned from time to time

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mass communication, journalism, natural resources management or related fields.

  • Atleast 2-3 years of experience relevant to the job description

  • Demonstrated proficiency in handling social media

  • Knowledge of graphic design tools such as a suite of Adobe tools

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Proficiency in the English language along with good writing skills

  • Understanding and interest in environment or wetland issues

Remuneration

The incumbent will be placed in Grade 3 of salary scale, with an annual gross remuneration of Rs. 7 lakhs with all perks.
