A key focus area is the rejuvenation of urban and rural water bodies, transforming them into vital assets for groundwater recharge, ecological health, and community benefit.
We are looking for a technically skilled and hands-on Associate Consultant – Rejuvenation of Water Bodies (RWB) to support field implementation, technical design, and planning of water body rejuvenation efforts. The consultant will work on reviving urban lakes, ponds, stepwells, and stormwater structures with a focus on soil management, inlet–outlet flows, desilting, bank stabilization, and basic civil interventions. The role requires coordination with ground teams, technical documentation, and solution-oriented field engagement.
Assist in field-level assessments of water bodies, mapping inlets/outlets, current conditions, and basic hydrological parameters.
Support preparation of rehabilitation plans, including desilting strategies, natural filtration zones, inlet–outlet repair designs, and bund strengthening.
Provide technical inputs on soil conditions, bank stabilization, slope gradients, and civil work feasibility for minor water structures.
Coordinate with implementation partners and engineering teams to ensure effective field execution and follow-up.
Help in drafting project reports, BOQs, and workplans under guidance from senior consultants and technical experts.
Participate in monitoring visits, identify site-level issues, and contribute to adaptive improvement in implementation.
Liaise with local government teams, panchayats, and communities as part of multi-stakeholder coordination.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in water body rejuvenation, watershed projects, or civil infrastructure related to water and soil.
Understanding of urban water flow systems, stormwater management, and basic hydraulic and structural principles.
Experience in technical documentation, field coordination, and monitoring of eco-restoration or conservation projects.
Exposure to CSR or government programs on water or NRM (natural resource management) is preferred.
Strong communication and project execution skills with willingness to travel extensively to field locations.
Type: Part-Time Consultancy (as per project requirement)
Remuneration: INR 5,000/day (desk-based); INR 7,000/day (on-field)
Travel, boarding, and lodging expenses will be reimbursed as per actuals.
