Ecological Informatics (EI) is a trans-disciplinary subject that integrates ecology, informatics, computational and social sciences. It draws its strength from the depth of ecological sciences, the breadth of social sciences, the power of computation and the versatility of information technology.

Course objectives:

This program imparts computational, informatics skills to students with background in natural/physical sciences. It equips the student for a career in ecological research with special emphasis on Information Technology. Inclusion of social dimension makes this program peerless.

Admission eligibility:

• For General/OBC candidates: 60% in M.Sc. Degree in Natural/Physical Sciences*
• For SC/ST candidates: A pass in M.Sc. Degree Natural/Physical Sciences*

* Comprises Botany, Zoology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Environment Science and allied disciplines.
