Job Profile:
• Providing Support to the Agriculture specialists in the field in designing suitable strategies, for enhancing the income of farmers in respective programme areas through agriculture.
• Coordinating with the field teams to prepare new project proposals aimed at livelihood enhancement for the poor farmers in the respective programme areas.
• Liaison with the State government, corporate institutions for marketing and other funding agencies for funding these proposals.
• Identifying the policy level issues from field implementation & developing strategies to address them.
• Developing the strategies and its implementation in organic farming and its certification, value addition of agri produce, horticulture, agri produce marketing.
• Piloting innovative approaches on risk minimization and market value maximization and establish linkages with agri produce market players.
• Providing support to field teams on financial viability assessment and implementation of the agri based livelihood enhancement projects. This would include the establishment of the required backward and forward linkages for various activities.
