The Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University was established in the year 1964 to serve as a seat of learning and scholarship and also to shoulder a major responsibility for securing the economic development and improvement of the status of the rural people in the state of Andhra Pradesh through education, research and extension programmes

Job description: Temporary posts in DBT Funded Network Project on “Identification of candidate genes for water use efficiency in rice through activation tagging” at Institute of Biotechnology, Acharya N.G.Ranga Agricultural University, Hyderabad.

Qualification:
Junior Research Fellow:

  • Masters degree in Plant Biotechnology/ Plant Molecular Biology /Plant Sciences/ Genetics & Plant Breeding/Botany from a recognized university
  • Two years research experience in genetic engineering of plants with specialization in rice tissue culture, genetic transformation and molecular biology techniques

Technical Assistants:

  • Bachelors degree in science from a recognized and reputed university
  • Experience in tissue culture transformation and other molecular techniques with experience in rice crop management

Remuneration:
Junior Research Fellow:  Consolidated pay of Rs. 16000/p.m + HRA for 1st &2nd years and Rs. 18000/p.m +HRA from 3rd year onwards for candidates with PG degree with NET qualified or PG degree in professional course with GATE or Consolidated pay of Rs. 12000/p.m + HRA for 1st &2nd years and Rs. 14000/p.m+HRA from 3rd year onwards for candidates with PG degree without NET /GATE

Technical Assistants: Consolidated pay of Rs. 8,000/- (fixed)
