ADaRSH (Association for Development and Research of Sustainable Habitats) in association with MNRE (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India) and TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) is organizing the 3rd National Conference on Green Design for deliberations on issues pertaining to sustainable development.

Venue:
The National Conference on Green Design is scheduled on the March 1-2, 2012 at the Manekshaw Centre, Delhi Cantt., New Delhi.

The upcoming conference is being designed and organized with a global vision and local focus. It would bring together pioneers in the field of green buildings including policy makers, financial institutions and researchers on one platform to share their experiences and view-points on the way forward for green buildings and habitats in India.

This year's conference shall bring together experts and policy makers to deliberate on issues around:

• Resource optimization for self-sufficiency
• Sustainability and the city
• Smaller footprints – From Megawatts to Kilowatts
• Materials making environmental sense            
• Innovation is systems    

In addition to technical sessions, key presentations shall be delivered by eminent professionals in the building industry:

• Dr. Ken Yeang, Design Director and Chairman, Llewelyn Davies Yeang London and T. R. Hamzah & Yeang Malaysia
• Mr. Karan Grover, Proprietor, Karan Grover & Associates
• Mr. Krishna Rao Jaisim, Jaisim Fountainhead

An open forum with ADaRSH, MNRE, CPWD, CREDAI and eminent architects of India shall provide updates on ADaRSH and its activities. Numerous training and outreach activities for popularizing green buildings and training for Trainers and Evaluators of GRIHA Rating have been conducted and received very well by the green building consultants and academics across the country.

Along with the conference, there will be an exhibition on green building materials and technologies. Industry stake-holders and green building design consultants will also participate in the exhibition.

Fees for National conference: Rs. 3,000/- Inclusive of Service Tax per delegate
