Venue: International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad

Description:

Bhuvan aims to provide information on various themes like land resources, agriculture, soil, water, ocean sciences, ground water potential, eco-systems, bio-diversity etc, which are extracted from multi-resolution remote sensing images carried out under various national missions.

Bhuvan on its portal provides a range of services enabling visualization of various thematic data generated from myriad national missions and projects carried out by NRSC.

All users of Bhuvan are termed as ‘Bhuvanites’. The advantage of being a Bhuvanite is that you see information that is otherwise dry and academic,in ways that are visually fascinating. It helps you capture large databases of satellite data, which can be transformed into 3D presentations that capture the imaginations of the rest of us.
