A day long conference on “Alarming state of ground water-Need for concerted action”

The conference will begin with a lead presentation on the challenges (policy & implementation) of balancing the increasing demands on ground water with an overview of macro/micro measures planned and required.

Description:

Bangalore Film Society in collaboration with a consortium of institutions will be organising the 6th edition of the largest international film festival on water – Voices from the Waters 2011 - along with a day long conference. The festival will be organised in 6 venues across Bangalore. The main venue is Alliance Francaise de Bangalore and inauguration will be at Christ University auditorium.

Apart from screening of internationally acclaimed films on various water themes, the other attractions of the festival are painting and photo exhibitions, art installations, interactions with film directors, water scholars, grass root level water voices and water songs.

There will be three days of special screenings of the films for the high school students at Balabhavan, Cubbon Park, Bangalore.
