Objectives of the training course 

•  Introducing basics of Global Positioning System
•  Imparting working knowledge of handling GPS
•  Hand-holding on import/export of GPS data to/from computer and working in GIS Environment
•  Demonstrate various application potential of GPS data in Watershed & MGNREGS Planning Implementation and Monitoring.

Information for applicants

• Officials/engineers/MIS managers/technical experts, involved in execution/monitoring of Watershed & MGNREGS or Natural Resources/Land Based shemes may apply
• Participants should be familiar with basic computer operations
• Participants may come with their laptops and relevant GIS data, if available

 Accomadation & boarding

• Free hostel accommodation and boarding will be provided for the participants at NIRD Jaipur centre.
• TA & DA for the participants will have to be borne by the nominating organization/department.
• Participants may report/leave a day before and a day after the course duration, as per their travel convenience.
