About CGWB

Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) is the apex organization at National level working in the field of exploration, monitoring, assessment, management, regulation and protection of ground water resources of the country. 

Objective

The objective of this one day workshop is to create a platform for interactions by different stake holders like Govt. organizations, industries, NGOs, voluntary organizations, individuals, farmers to express their views and experiences on innovations and best practices in water conservation. This will definitely help to arrive at site specific best practices of water conservation techniques, which will facilitate in formulating water management plan.

The workshop will provide an ideal platform to ground water fraternity to deliberate and have interaction with the experts and stake holders.

Theme

The focal theme of the workshop is “Innovations and best practices in water conservation”.

Registration

The workshop is open to all and there is no registration fee for participants. However TA/DA will have to borne by participants

Call for papers

Technical papers on following themes are invited:

  • Revival of traditional Practices of Water conservation.
  • Water conservation practices in Agriculture sector.
  • Water conservation practices in urban area.
  • Water conservation practices in Industrial sector or Multinational companies.
  • Innovative and area specific Water conservation techniques in different geo morphological conditions.
  • Community based water conservation techniques.
  • Role of NGO and VOs in Water conservation.
  • Practices adopted in Government sector and results.
  • Innovative and best practices in water conservation by Infrastructure projects.

Authors intending to present papers are requested to submit the full papers not more than 12 pages, neatly typed with single spaced on A4 paper with Times New Roman with 12 font size.

The soft copy (MS-word and pdf format) in A4 size paper with separate tables, figures, photos may be sent by email.
