Description:

Mercury in the Mist

is a campaign documentary about the plight of the environment and ex-workers affected by mercury pollution from Hindustan Unilever's thermometer factory in Kodaikanal. More than 30 workers have died till date, and several tons of mercury have been discharged in and around the factory. But the company refuses to take responsibility.

This documentary, directed by Amudhan R.P. is of 16 minutes duration in Tamil with English subtitles.This documentarty will be launched and released on this occassion.

First DVD copy will be released by Mr.Rathnavelu, cinematographer and it will be received by Ms. Vahidha Nizam Vice-president, AITUC. This will be followed by screening of the documentary.
