Jeevanshala

Jeevanshala Trust like to think of ourselves as constituting an open learning community/network for mature learners. The programs we conduct are for 'grown-ups', and the content of the programs is of a sort that is not to be found in conventional institutions of learning...
We are a motley group of people, linked together by our vision of wholesome meaningful lives for everyone, and by our advocacy of such living...

Description:
We invite you to the 4th Jeevan Vidya Workshop (a workshop on essential life skills and education) in Sirsi, Karnataka, to be held from 4th to 9th December (both days inclusive). The workshop is a platform for discussing a wide range of issues like Education, Reality, Happiness, Success, Aspirations and gaining an understanding on Our Nature, Relationships, Environment, Social Issues, and Self-Confidence. Do these sound relevant to you? In the workshop we will have a detailed and lengthy discussion on these, and in the process try to find a holistic and sustainable solution in the light of Jeevan Vidya.

Topic:
A note is attached about what a philosophy must include and how we can evaluate a philosophy. This note will help in getting an idea of the Jeevan Vidya philosophy, and will also throw light on the kind of workshop one may expect. Please do spend time in reading the note.

Registration Fee:
This workshop is conducted with a feeling born out of responsibility, and the facilitator does not receive any payment for conducting the workshop. However, the cost of boarding and lodging, and campus maintenance expenses for the current workshop are estimated to be about Rs 3000 per participant. Participants who can are expected to bear these expenses. If you are able to contribute more, you can help us support the costs of those participants who are unable to pay. The costs of the whole workshop are thus usually met by the participants. Nobody is ever denied participation in the workshop due to inability to make a monetary contribution. Typically these workshops end up being self-financing as those participants who can, come forward to contribute generously. Participants who cannot be accommodated by us in this workshop for any reason will be offered the opportunity to attend this workshop at another date/location in the future.

Send email to Vinish / Karuna at  centre.for.holistic.learning@gmail.com or telephone 08283-240147, or +91.8762071817 before filling in and sending your registration form. Places in the workshop are limited, so prior registration is necessary.
