In order to celebrate 20 years of ATREE and to call attention to current challenges in biodiversity conservation, environment and development, ATREE has organized a two day international conference in January, 2017. The main themes of the conference  are Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services; Water and Society; Forest Governance and Livelihoods; and Climate Change and Development.

There will be several renowned international speakers and panelists including Georgina Mace, Paul Robbins, Gunter Pauli, Breena Holland, John Linnell, Eivin Roskaft, Esther Mwangi, Charlie Shackleton, Nadarajah Shanmugaratnam, Tor Benjaminsen, Kathy Morrison, Upmanu Lall, Chris Scott and Margreet Zwarteveen.

The 2 day event will be held at the JN Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science on January 24 -25, 2017.
