Description:

The conference will be for three days, agenda of the conference have been planned in two ways. The first day of the conference will start with a rally and reach Thamukkam Ground where it will end with a public meeting in the evening. Efforts are being made to mobilise 1,00,000 people in the rally. The programmes during the next two days are planned similar to the programmes of World Social Forum. The conference will have 60 to 65 small and big seminars on selected titles pertaining to warming the earth and the need for structural and policy changes. There will also be exhibitions, cultural events, marketing stalls within the conference venue. We expect participation of about 30,000 registered participants.  

The conference is part of a mobilization process against present model of development which caused the global warming and climate change. It aims at creating mass awareness among people and to motivate & involve people collectively in global initiatives to prevent warming the globe/deterioration of climate. It also raise voices of people in support of alternative people-centric and participatory systems of governance in place of present crisis-ridden and inhuman socio-economic policies and systems.
