Objective of the seminar
The purpose of the seminar is
- to bring together participation from a wide variety of interests
- to explore the possibilities to solve important water related problems
- to create a forum for discussion
- to try and find a consensus on how scientific principles and awareness can combined in order to create conditions for real breakthrough in present disastrous situation in sanitation and drainage sector
- to widely disseminate the recommendations of the Seminar for fruitful and meaningful implementation of programmes to cope with the problem
Topics to be discussed
The following will be included:
- Water & sanitation in Environmental Sustainability Agenda under Post-2015 Development Goals in India
- Water and microbial contamination
- Water borne health problems and their control
- Sanitation and prevention of infectious diseases;
- Problems of water and sanitation: Role of government, scientists and people & dependence of human life on water and sanitation
Submission of abstracts
