Theme:  Sustainability – Walk the talk

While there is unanimity in accepting sustainability as everyone’s need and responsibility, this conviction has not been translated into measurable actions yet. In today’s weak global economy, sustaining sustainability programs has become a key challenge. Many of our attitudes and customs today may be 'free-riding' on the wellbeing of our children and grand-children!

The conference will mainly focus on how corporates can embark on sustainability and how small and medium size businesses can embrace a path of sustainability. In this backdrop, the Second CII  conference on environment & sustainability will share and impart the practical knowledge in environmental and economic sustainability. The sessions are carefully structured to include the state-of-the-practices, business and regulatory drivers, and real-world examples in the areas of energy/carbon footprint, waste management, and water – the pillars of most environmental sustainability programs.

Dr A Ravindra, Chairman, Center for Sustainable Development, Bangalore & Advisor to Chief Minister of Karnataka; Mr Venkatesh Valluri, Chairman, Ingersoll-Rand Ltd; Mr Case Scot, Market Development Director, UL - Environment (USA) are addressing the Inaugural session on ‘Walk the Talk’. Many other eminent speakers are addressing the Conference on different topics of sustainability.
