Description:

IIHS re-announces a 6-day short-course on "re-imagining the world-class city to be held in New Delhi from the 1st to 6th December, 2011. Bringing together an inter-disciplinary Indian and international faculty of academicians and practitioners, the short-course will enable participants to engage with the political, economic, ecological, infrastructural, social and institutional challenges of the ‘world-class’ city. Through an engagement with real sites and problems, participants will re-imagine what globalising Indian cities and regions could develop into over the next decade and ask what it will take to get there.

Course fee:

Rs.18,000/- for working professionals, Rs.10,000/- for current students. Course fee includes food & refreshments on all days, course material & readers, and transportation to/from the case study site.

Course fee for group booking:

Rs. 16,000/- for working professionals, Rs. 9,000/- for students. 3 or more participants.

Residential:

Optional (facilities are available, but will be paid directly to guest house by participant)

Confirmation by IIHS on selection: Within 1 working day on receipt of applications.

Last date for payment of fee:

November 30, 2011, Mode of payment: Cheque/DD in favour of 'Indian Institute for Human Settlements' payable at Delhi.
