Description
Meeting the energy demand for the industrial sector holds the key in accelerating the economic growth of India. Energy efficiency improvement across the sectors assumes critical importance in view of the ever increasing energy needs. Ministry of Power & Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) have been entrusted to develop the implementation framework of National Mission for Enhanced Energy efficiency (NMEEE). Perform, Achieve and Trade (PAT) is being implemented to improve energy efficiency in industrial sector under the said mission by BEE. These initiatives expected to reduce the energy consumption in Indian industry to the tune of about 10 million tons of oil equivalent over next 3 years time period and catalyze investment potential of Rs 70,000 Crores in next 5 years. Against this background, CII-Godrej GBC is organizing the 11th Edition of Energy Efficiency Summit 2012 from 22-25 Aug 2012 at Hyderabad.

Objective

  • Facilitate Indian industry to improve energy efficiency on a continuous basis and help them in achieving the target set as part of Perform Achieve and Trade under the National Mission on Enhanced Energy Efficiency.
  • Create a platform for all the energy efficient technology suppliers and equipment manufacturer to interact with industry and support them in achieving / exceeding the target for energy efficiency improvement
  • Disseminate information on the latest trends and energy efficient technologies
  • Facilitate sharing of best practices amongst the Industries

Conference schedule
The energy efficiency summit involves the following 4 parallel conferences.

  • EnCon in Electrical systems
  • EnCon in Thermal systems
  • Compressors & Compressed air system
  • Energy efficiency in buildings

The first day programme is common for all the four conferences and will focus on the following aspects related to energy efficiency improvement:

  • Perform, Achieve and Trade – Challenges & Opportunities
  • Energy Efficiency financing
