The monitoring of water quality at the community/cluster or district level involves key processes including survey, processing of data, and implementing remedial and preventive action. The Rajiv Gandhi National Drinking Water Mission, Department of Drinking Water Supply, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, has developed a training module on water quality moniitoring, and surveillance which is a comprehensive guide on the processes for water quality monitoring.
