The February edition of the TRINet has the following highlights: 

The city corporation of Madurai decides to power all the parks with solar energy.

  • The importance of reviewing and reworking on solar power policy before it enters into its second phase.
  • The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) provide free technical assistance to domestic consumers in the state for selection, installation and operation of rooftop solar panels.
  • Shifting to solar power proves to be uneconomical for industrialists.
  • Ahmedabad-based Space Application Centre (SAC) will prepare the digitized coastal zone management plan for state's 1,600-km-long coastline.
  • The field survey for the new coastal zone management plan for Mumbai is completed.
