The plan of action and targets of Environment Action Plan (Part – B) for Bangalore are detailed. The measurable outcomes and social benefits of the plan are listed as follows –

  • About 110 MLD of raw sewage from all the seven major and minor valleys could be brought into the system after completion of this project.
  • About 40,000 population residing in the core area of the city and some portions of the core interfacing with peripheral areas will be directly benefited out of the proposed new sewerage facilities. 
  • About 5 lakhs population in the core area of the city will be benefited from the risk of direct exposure to raw sewage flowing in the open drains.
