My name is Deb Gangoapdhyay and I am a student at Yale University. I and a fellow student, Yuzhe Feng, have received funding to conduct a water quality and sanitation project in the Krisnanagar district of Nadia, West Bengal. Our project involves testing the water for arsenic and bacterial contamination, assessing hygiene, assessing the impact of poor water quality, and trying to find an ideal and sustainable water purification system. We will be in the region from mid-June to mid-August. We have a number of logistical concerns such as finding our own housing and transportation, getting permission of the local government to conduct the research and finding out information such as the exact sources of water for the location. My father was born and raised in the area and we are very passionate about the project. We were wondering if you could help us with these concerns or put us in contact some NGOs or contacts who can help us. Access the combined proposal here: Water Sanitation Project in Krishnanagar West Bengal Kindly add your tips & contact information in the comments section
