Structures for soil and water conservation Structures for soil and water conservation

The first step to sustainable agriculture is soil and water conservation. Drylands are more prone to erosion since they are devoid of vegetative cover for longer periods of time.

KVK, based on its experiences in participatory integrated watershed programme in Bagur hills where it had constructed some watershed structures here and there, has brought out this booklet. This is an attempt to describe some of those commonly erected watershed structures.
