They are  demanding that the Pune Municipal Corporation remove illegal encroachments along and from the river urgently, before the monsoon.

During the last monsoon and post monsoon rains in 2010-11, Ram Nadi faced unprecedented floods, causing huge damage to life and property along the area.

The attached pamphlet (in Marathi) gives a precise idea of the activities from 25th April 2011 onwards.
