Cap-NetCap-Net is an international network for capacity building in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). It includes a partnership of autonomous international, regional and national institutions and networks committed to capacity building in the water sector.

The Cap-Net website has a number of resources on water management issues and includes:

  • A tutorial on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM): This tutorial is directed at policy makers, water managers, trainers and educators who want to have a basic understanding of the IWRM principles.
  • Networks:  Provides all the information on the key partners and implementing members of Cap-Net.
  • Databases: Provides links to
    • Training and educational courses on offer in the area of water resources management
    • Network Management Tools: This page has the information and tools on network management and information on how to improve network effectiveness and sustainability
    • References: This section contains reports and publications relevant to capacity building, networks and water resources management. It also contains documents produced by Cap-Net and partner networks.
    • Resource Centres: This page lists institutions and resource centres for education, training, research and consultancy services in the field of water. 
  • Training Materials: This page lists and provides links to all the training materials developed by Cap-Net as well as those developed by other organisations on water resources management. The materials include:
