APPEAL TO NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATIONS (NGOs)
The unprecedented floods in Tungabhadra, Krishna and
their tributaries have caused enormous damage to the lives
and property of nearly 17 lakh people in the state of Andhra
Pradesh. Government of Andhra Pradesh has embarked on a
massive project for reconstructing the damaged
houses(estimated to be around one lakh) and have announced
a Special Package of Rs.68,450/- per house.
The NGOs and Civil Society Groups interested in working
in the project can adopt any of the villages enclosed herewith
and undertake to take up construction of these houses by
involving the beneficiaries fully.
The interested NGOs may have to contribute an amount
of Rs.10,000/- per house for its completion in all respects.
Interested NGOs may indicate their willingness to
participate in the project through email:ce@apshcl.gov.in and
by letter on or before 24th October 2009.
A meeting is convened with the interested NGOs at
11.30AM on 22nd October 2009 in the Conference Room of AP
State Housing Corporation Limited situated at H.No.3-6-184,
Street No.17, Urdu Hall Lane, Himayatnagar, Hyderabad – 500
029 in which all further modalities could be discussed.
