This is in context of the need to understand what has happened at Uttarakhand over the past few days. I live here and have a need to understand this. I wrote a request on the FB page of the india water Portal and was directed by Nisha to some possible sites for me to look at, including the India-WRIS site.

I have tried quite hard to get anywhere close, but have been unable to. I had a look at the India Water Portal data on India for met data for the past 100 years. Seems fantastic, but I am unable to get anything finer than district level. Such broad data is not useful for my purpose, since just in the sub-basin where I live (the Gori basin), annual rainfall varies along the river from about 15 cm annually (in the rainshadow cold-desert areas, to about 400 cm where I live, just 40 km south of this.

I would like to see finer data, basin wise. I believe this should be possible since the analysis is as fine as 0.5 degrees lat and long. Please help me on this specific request.
