Our house has a borewell which was drilled to 850 ft in 2007. Within two years, the submersible pump got damaged and we had to take it out to get it repaired. While putting the submersible pump back, it could not pass through 550 ft as something was blocking it. At that time we had to cut the water pipe at 550 ft and we have been using it that way since then. But in summer, the underground water is going below 550 ft and we need to buy water until there is a proper rainfall.

I am not sure what is blocking the pump but I would like to know if there are any ways to gain the lost depth so that the pump can be placed at 850 ft depth. Any suggestions of yours would be greatly appreciated.
