Dear IWP

Please suggest to me how to do rain water harvesing for this borewell which is 480 feet deep, and has stoped working. The soil is black clay type soil and I can see that the water doen't seep into this soil.

I have read many articles on rain water harvesting but no one has mentionioned anything about the soil. I also have an old borewell which is 100 ft dept and unused since the last 10-15 years, and is 8-10 feet away from this bore well. Can this be used for rain water harvesting? 

Please let us know if any drillers are available in Hyderabad who can drill under the roof and what are their constraints?
