We are setting up a chemical research centre and was wondering what would be the right technology for treating its effluent water. Please note that only trade effluent will be treated in this ETP, without mixing with sewage (which has a separate domestic sewage line).

Which technology would give reliable results (owing to the facts that effluent characteristics will vary since it is a R&D centre) and require minimum footprint and capital cost for treating 10KLD of effluent? Would biological processes be effective for treating this chemical trade effluent?
