QUESTION
Need to know the best practices on Fecal Sludge Management (FSM) in India

WASH with the support of Population Service International (PSI) and Water for People (WFP) is engaged in a landscape study on FSM. As part of the study, we intend to do mapping of the best practices on managing fecal sludge (right from collection, transportation, treatment and disposal) being followed in India. The parameters for the best practice can be economic viability, easy operation, ensuring health and safety of the operator, user friendly, environmentally sound technology, reliability and so on. It is in this context of mapping the best practices, that we need your assistance in.

1. Please share the details of your work/study, if any, on FSM.

2. Let us know the contact details of agencies/organisations involved in FSM in india or have been involved in some good work regarding FSM.

Your support and co-operation will help us bring a feasible and viable model on FSM which can be replicated and solve the major issue of sanitation in India.
