We are building a retirement village (Melur Meadows) 35 KM from Coimbatore, and 10 KM from Mettupalayam on the Mettupalayam Annur Road.

While we have planned an RO Plant for our drinking water requirements, I would also like to provide quality water for bathing and other daily use. We expect around 225 residents and a daily water usage of about 30,000 litres. Using RO for such a large requirement would not be economical. Ultimately as the cost would be passed on to the consumer and most of our residents will be those living on pensions, we are looking at a long term solution.

Is there any other solution that I can use, to ensure that the hardness is reduced / unwanted minerals are eliminated.  We are willing to allot some land area for the same and invest some capital towards building a solution. We are looking for a non-power utilizing solution as well.

We will appreciate any help in this regard.
