Climate Change Photography competition: Freshwater Action Network

FAN Photography Competition July 2009

In December, World Leaders will gather at the United Nations’ Climate Change Convention in Copenhagen to agree a future global response to climate change http://en.cop15.dk
Adaptation to climate change is vital in order to reduce the impacts of climate change that are happening now and increase resilience to future impacts.

There is an urgent need to prioritise adaptation needs in developing countires and we’d like to hear from our members about your community-based / local coping strategies/ mechanisms, knowledge and experience that have had to adapt to specific hazards or climatic conditions.

Please email us with your high resolution images, together with a sentence or two about how the photograph illustrates your work relating to water and climate change adaptation.

Before you submit your photos, please visit www.freshwateraction.net/newsletter/photocomp to read competition guidelines and full terms and conditions

The closing date for entries is Friday July 24th, 2009
