Water pledge

This pledge was taken by school and college students in Andhra Pradesh during World Water Day events.
PLEDGE TO CONSERVE WATER AND SUSTAIN
SANITATION AND HYGIENE
I pledge to save water.
I will never waste water.
I will not contaminate our drinking water.
I will not pollute our precious water resources.
I won't hesitate to tell my neighbors and others the sad state of water in our holy rivers, lakes, tanks, wells, and streams, and request them not to pollute them.
I pledge to conserve every drop of water that I can every day of the week.
I pledge to tell people not to clutter our drains with garbage and sweepings.
I pledge that I am against open fouling of our environment, and I will practice good sanitation and hygiene.
I pledge to celebrate World Water Day on Match 22nd every year and let people know about the importance of conserving water and not polluting our precious waterbodies.

Dear Sir,
It is unfair to ask the school and college students to take a pledge that they will not pollute nor contaminate water. Are they the culprits? Then why ask them?
Can we repeat the same exercise with the management of the polluting industries and the Municipal authorities who pollute the water bodies with domestic sewage?

Good thing to start. Atleast they should also understand the importnace of water. The same message can be conveyed to their parents and that way to society through these innocent next gegeneration in their own benifit. Ultimately, we all must think about sustainable development and consumption. This is the right time to start thinking.

Dear Sir,
I sincerly agree to the few comments given by people. My opinion is that since there are many NGO kind agencies or people working for such kind of activity like environment,Friends of nature, Water conservation etc.. with whom we can share this pledge and all about imporatnce of water conservation. Ultimately its everyone's prime responsibility on this planet & should think about the sutainability in every developed nation.Coz for future generation it is must or else it will be difficult for everyone on this planet.
Articles are supposed to published under "DANGER situation on the EARTH" so that people can read this carefully & I am sure it will open there eyes.It should be compulsary subject in the school as well in the big institions, colleges etc.Because good habbits are to be inculcated at the cander age only. Grown up show resistence to change.
Every Industry should comply the norms compulsary and if anyone doesn't comply with it they should be fine.
