The newsletter focuses on all activities concerning rainwater harvesting, the International Rainwater Harvesting Alliance (IRHA) and its partners. These projects are part of the Blue Schools programme where rainwater harvesting is used to assure a clean and sustainable water supply, with sanitation, reforestation and training. In 2011, among other tasks, 15 tanks and 151 toilets were built.
The Rainwater Harvesting Joint Statement was issued with two other organisations,ARCSA and IRCSA, in order to meet World Water Day 2011
This aims at the unification of the global rainwater harvesting movement.By the end of 2011, IRHA has 91 members from 39 countries.
This includes work to influence policy at local, national, regional and international levels.
