About RRAN:
Revitalising Rainfed Agriculture Network advocates for enhanced and differentiated public investments and relevant support systems for rainfed agriculture in India. It is a platform of civil society organisations, science, research and academic institutions, individuals and donors, engaged with issues of rainfed agriculture systems.

RRAN members are implementing Comprehensive Pilots in different agro-ecological zones across India, aimed at bringing about systemic change, at scale. These Pilots bring together multiple themes that are crucial for rain dependent agriculture, and seek to build convergence across programmes, schemes and channels. Thematic support on subjects like soils, water, seeds, cropping systems, livestock, fisheries, millets and credit, institutions and markets is provided through partner organisations having expertise, experience and capacities to bridge the spectrum of science, practice and policy. RRAN collaborates on research nationally and globally, and works with the agriculture science institutions to generate credible evidence on science and practice so as to inform policy making and implementation that is responsive to the needs of rainfed India.
