Water is no pipe dream here: Case Study from Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka
"Water is no pipe dream here", is a case study written by Shree Padre in July 2008, about Konkodi Bhat's rain water harvesting work, using a simple pipe system at his home in Dakshina Kannada, that allows the family to use rainwater for half the year and lets the excess recharge the open well for usage in the remaining months. His easily replicable technique can successfully reduce groundwater usage in heavy rainfall areas.
