In Bangalore City waters and private water tanker waters are stored in sump tanks of varying capacity by households.As water comes infrequently, usually 2 hours every alternate day, storage systems have to be created by households. Typically a residual chlorine of 0.2 mg/litre is ensured by the water service provider. However if water is bought from a private water tanker there will be no residual chlorine at all.
