A Water Hackathon was sponsored by the World Bank's Water and Sanitation Program (WSP), Indian Institute of Human Settlements and India Water Portal in October. It was a fantastic event that brought together dedicated people from the water sector and software developers to create applications that can literally put solutions in the palm of your hand, aiming to develop software applications for mobile phones that could be useful for the water community and/or for the general public.

Today India Water Portal is introducing a new tool that will bring a wide range of water and sanitation information to your fingertips. The
Data Finder aims to bring together water and sanitation data from all over the web and put it in one convenient searchable tool. Currently the tool contains almost 200 sources of water and sanitation data. We are continuously searching for more sources of data and will be updating the list as we find them.
