Participants from different parts of the North East and the rest of the country
 

Diverse hydrology coupled with a centralised development paradigm means that the North East is ripe for water based conflicts. To equip water practitioners to deal with this reality, a training programme was organised in Guwahati in January this year. The workshop aimed at introducing participants to  to the basic concepts, debates, theoretical and analytical approaches and emerging issues related to water, water conflicts and their resolution.This article presents a report of the various discussions  held during the training.
