Route
During his 75 day long ride he will cover 19000km, pass through all 28 states and 5 union territories. He will be passing through 7 ecological zones and 11 national parks. He will be crossing 15 major rivers and countless other water bodies.
Throughout the ride Sharada will encounter diverse terrain, climate and people. India has a wide altitudinal range. When Sharada travels from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, he will be starting at sea level (0 ft) and reaching the allegedly highest motorable pass of the world, Khardung La Pass (18380ft). India has a varied climate and consequently very diverse vegetation. Even the rainfall pattern varies drastically - Rajasthan receives around 100mm of rainfall while Cherrapunji receives about 11000mm. Sharada will be meeting people who have been living in all these regions and coping with diverse water challenges from droughts to floods.
