The Man and the Machine

Sharada Prasad is from Chitradurga, a district in Karnataka dogged by water issues. Growing up in Chitradurga and facing the daily struggle for water like millions of Indians do everyday made Sharada Prasad decide to switch from his lucrative IT career to the non-profit sector and work on water. He joined Arghyam, a charitable trust setup by Mrs. Rohini Nilekani which is dedicated to supporting efforts for sustainable management of water in India. Arghyam is supporting this mission to take the message of water to individuals and communities across the country.

Sharada Prasad is an avid trekker and his other interests include bird watching, languages  and carpentry. On the professional end, Sharada’s interest lies in understanding sustainability and the role of technology in addressing social issues.

He would be completing the entire journey on the legendary Royal Enfield Thunderbird.
