Autofocus stopped working
Today I changed the lens of my Nikon D300 from 18-200mm VR to 70-200 f/2.8 Sigma and immediately the camera stopped AF-S function. This means that now I cannot take pictures on the move but have to stop and focus manually. I was pretty depressed. I tried cleaning the contacts. Then I spoke to few of my friends. All of them suggested me to clean the contacts.
I then returned back to my room and put on 10-20mm Sigma wide angle lens. Instantly the camera started to focus again. I then put all other lenses to check AF-S function. The camera seems to be working fine again.
I don’t have any back up camera. Using any other camera would mean that I will not be able to geotag photographs. Since the camera is always outside and gets exposed to lot of dust en route, contacts must have gotten dirty. Changing several lenses must have cleaned the contacts. Keep the contacts of lens and camera away from dust and you must be good to click

Balaclava
Everyone buys balaclava for bike rides. But make sure that it is long enough to cover ur neck. Some cheap ones are small and ur neck gets burnt in the course.

Leave Early
It has been two days and we have been roasting in the Sun, riding without breaks, skipping lunch etc.
It is better to leave early (before 7 ) and try to reach the destination before 3:00pm
