The primary objective of this short term training program is to provide college teachers and professional engineers with a comprehensive understanding of GIS techniques relevant for studies related to water resources assessment. The participants will gain in-depth knowledge of working with open source GIS (Quantum GIS) and the watershed model Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) through several hands-on sessions following theoretical overview.
