The Conclave focuses on the aspects of water conservation, management and sustainability:

1. Challenges that corporates face in addressing the water issues
2. What role Indian industry sees for itself in the emerging scenario
3. Enablers that will help address these challenges
4. Opportunities that they can harness by aligning their business in a sustainability paradigm

The conclave brings together diverse stakeholders from the corporate sector, government, academia, non-governmental organizations, civil society, and financial institutions on a common platform for water conservation and management.

The 3rd Edition of FICCI Water Awards has been proposed for the following four categories:

1. 1 Industrial Water Efficiency- Industrial units belonging to the water intensive sectors (steel, textiles, refinery, metallurgy and mining, cement, chemicals and fertilizers, engineering, FMCG)
2. Community Initiatives by industry- Industrial units (CSR departments, civil society Industry organisation involved, if any)
3. Initiatives by NGOs- NGOs (Registered as a society, trust, not for profit organisation) working in the area of watershed management, drinking water and sanitation
4. Innovation- Product developer / technology supplier in the area of water purification and treatment.
