Media matters, a registered nonprofit trust, works in the area of development communication with a rightsbased approach, exploring and experimenting with participatory media and communication with a focus on capacity building; design and development of communication resources; participatory theatre; video documentaries; research and process documentation.

Objectives:

  • Compared different approaches to development, participation and communication
  • Analysed the paradigm shift towards participatory communication and action
  • Practiced the use of different participatory communication tools and methods
  • Designed an intervention strategy for participatory communication and action
  • Selected, adapted or evolved a set of tools and methods to be explored while working with groups

Participants:

Middlelevel functionaries from NGOs, academic institutions, other civil society organisations and government departments

Registration Fee:

Rs.7,000/per participant, the fee includes lodging, boarding and resources for the workshop.
