Groundwater modeling of an unconfined aquifer in Lapasiya watershed, Hazaribagh, India was undertaken. It helped in understanding the behavior of the unconfined aquifer system with varying input parameters. The outcome of the model helped in identifying a suitable area for groundwater augmentation in the long term, optimizing the pumping rate and identifying suitable locations / area where there would be less adverse effects on the aquifer system in long duration pumping, apart from other results.. |
